We have all seen those movies. You know the ones where two people just happen to be at the same diner at the same time and their eyes just happen to meet, as they both just happen to glance up from their coffee cups at the same time? Guess what? There is a reason they call it “the movies.” That reason is that it is the opposite of real life. That just doesn’t happen in the real world.

If you are single, you know that finding that amazing person is one of the hardest things there is, but thankfully, there is a new and better way to meet people available to just about everyone nowadays. Computer dating services can change your life; the seven ways internet relationship services can change your life are so wonderful that if you don’t give up the bar scene and sign up, you are truly missing the boat.

1. Open up the dating pool – Your first of the 7 ways computer dating services can change your life is that they can open up the dating pool to thousands of people you would not otherwise get the chance to see or meet. I live in a small town, and I know – or know of – just about everyone, but there is no one here for me. I need to look elsewhere, but that can be difficult. I mean, what do you do – go to the next closest town and just drive around looking? Well, online dating services can change your life by simply adding lots of people to your “network.”

2. Safe way to connect to others – The second of the seven ways computer dating services can change your life is by providing a safe way to connect to others. Let’s face it; going into the local club is probably not going to find you the one you have been seeking, and it can be dangerous, too. By following some simple rules, computer dating services can provide safety.

3. Get to know someone’s mind - Now the third way computer dating can help you is by allowing you the chance to get to know someone’s mind before you get to know his/her body. Relationships built on lust don’t work. With online dating, you can take your time and communicate for as long as you want before you actually meet.

4. Provides a way to be selective – This fourth of the seven ways online relationship services can change your life is by providing a way to be selective. If you are not interested in anyone who doesn’t want children, just type that in. All the confirmed non-moms will be gone from the pool with a click.

5. Save you time – A fifth way these services can change your life is to save you time. If someone is just not interested, it does not take a whole evening of struggling to make polite conversation across the dinner table to find out. With the click of the mouse, he can tell you he is not interested or she can choose not to respond to you at all (which some find rude, but others don’t).

6. Provide basic information about people – Your sixth way online relationship dating services can change your life is to provide you with the basic information about people before you even meet, which makes the dating process so much easier and more fun. If you already know your date’s favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird, you already have something you can talk about – an icebreaker, if you will.

7. Help make you very happy – Of course, all of this boils down to one thing – the seventh way internet dating services can change your life – computer dating services can be the best, safest, most fun way to meet your soul mate and make you the happiest person alive.  What more can you ask for than that?

The Difference Between Marriage Dating And Fun Dating

Marriage dating is serious business. The people involved are looking for Mr. and Mrs. Right and are on a quest to tie the knot. Have you ever been on dates like that? It can be more like a stressful job interview than a really fun date.

When someone asks you out, you can tell if they’re looking for something long term like marriage, dating to find someone to spend intimate time with, or just dating for fun. The ones that are dating for fun are by far the ones you’ll have a better time with. The ones dating just to sleep with a person can turn out to be users you shouldn’t waste your time with. And the ones looking for marriage put too much pressure on a few simple dates.

If you’re the one looking for marriage, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to get married, of course. But it’s not something you should have in front of your mind when you go on a date. If you ask someone out based on whether or not you might marry them, you’ll probably be disappointed.  And if you only say yes to those who seem like marriage material, you might be missing out on someone really great.

So are we telling you to lower your standards?  If your end goal is marriage, dating can become a boring chore that’s more like screening applicants than the fun time it should be. And few things will put off the person who asked you out more than appearing desperate for a husband or wife when all they want to do is have some fun.

If you are ready for marriage, dating widely can be helpful, though. Don’t limit yourself to just the best looking person or the one you think might make a good mate. If there’s someone you think you’d have a good time with, ask for a date. Even if that person doesn’t seem to be someone you might want to marry.

In the early stages of dating, you don’t know the person well enough to judge what kind of mate they’d make.  Sometimes you don’t even really know this right before you marry someone! So stop pre-judging people and eliminating possibilities too early.  All you’re doing is narrowing down your choices for a fun date on Friday night.

If you open your eyes a little and ask (or say yes to) that person who you’ve overlooked all this time for whatever reason, you might be pleasantly surprised. So what if that person doesn’t seem to be marriage material! You don’t really know them well enough to make those kinds of judgments. Put aside thoughts of marriage for now and let yourself relax and have a good time.

This is not to say you can’t find your soul mate by dating; you can. Many people actually do it that way, especially when they’re not really trying. But if you’re too focused on marriage, dating is no longer the fun, social activity it should be.
