Questions To Ask Your Boyfriend & How To Make Him Happy

The questions to ask your boyfriend depend a lot on the type of person he is. If he’s the type who tells you a lot about his life and seems very open, there might not really be any bad question. If he’s very close-mouthed about certain things, though, asking questions might seem like prying. When figuring out questions to ask your boyfriend, you have to really consider him and how he reacts.

In almost all situations, good questions to ask your boyfriend might be terrible questions for someone else to ask her boyfriend. For instance, if you’re curious about a past girlfriend, you want to ask your boyfriend about her. But should you?

If your boyfriend has talked about her before, and not seemed secretive about her, it’s probably all right. If he’s ever been defensive about her, you might not want to ask anything. It could just cause him to think you’re prying or wanting to put her down in some way.

If he’s never mentioned any past girlfriends, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a mistake to ask about them. In fact, if you don’t ever ask questions about his old girlfriends, he might wonder why you’re not interested!

Most people ask about a person’s past relationships; it’s only natural to do so. But if you do it to excess he might start to think that you’re a bit too curious or even obsessed about his past girlfriends. He might get aggravated that you’re too interest in his past.

Polite questions about his past, in most cases, shouldn’t cause anyone to get upset though. Even if you seem a little jealous of a past relationship that was very serious, that’s pretty much to be expected. If you weren’t at least a little jealous, some men might think you don’t like them enough to be jealous.

Bad questions to ask your boyfriend usually, if they’re not ex-girlfriend related, center around you being suspicious. If you constantly ask him where he is and what he’s doing every minute, he’s bound to get tired of it. And he might even think you don’t trust him.

And you should consider that if you’re asking him to account for his whereabouts all the time, that maybe you don’t trust him. Try to figure out why that is, and you might learn some things about your self and the relationship.

Even bad questions can become good questions the way he sees them, if you word them correctly. Instead of asking why he was out so late, who he was with and what he was doing, you could “ask” the question in a more roundabout way.

You could say that you wished he’d been with you, or you wished he’d been home because you wanted to talk to him. Where was he?  If you couch the questions in non-suspicious language and are polite and non-accusing, it won’t seem like you’re nagging him. Just make sure the questions to ask your boyfriend are said in a friendly manner.

Fun Things To Do With Your Boyfriend

There are too many fun things do with your boyfriend to list in one short space. But there are some that seem to be popular favorites. Bear in mind your boyfriend’s preferences when you look at the list of fun things do with your boyfriend.

Obviously a boyfriend who hates golf might not find mini-golf all that fun, and someone who’s not much of a reader won’t enjoy the date at the bookstore. But use your imagination and your boyfriend’s preferences and you’ll come up with your own fun things do with your boyfriend.

Your boyfriend will probably find anything he does with you fun, even if it’s an activity he’s not crazy about. So be sure you come up with fun things do with your boyfriend that you know he’ll love, even if they’re things you’re not really into.

Sometimes the most fun things you can do are very simple, like surprising him with a dinner or a favorite dessert you made yourself. Other times you’ll want to be more elaborate. For everyday fun things, even just a few minutes of the day that are a surprise can be great, like surprising him with a shoulder massage or a foot rub.

When you have the funds to surprise him with something more costly, he’ll know how much you must have wanted to give it to him to spend money on it. But don’t worry about the cost, especially if the fun things you come up with don’t cost much. These things truly should be from the heart, not the pocketbook.

-  Have a “date” with your boyfriend at home and listen to the radio—after you’ve called up and dedicated a song to him.

-  Have an afternoon of mini-golf. Loser buys the after-game ice cream.

- Find a reading or a book signing at a local bookstore. Stores with cafes right inside are a great place to relax with a book and your boyfriend.

- Surprise him with tickets to a concert, and arrange for a driver to take you to the venue.

- When you’re at a restaurant where the staff sings happy birthday to their patrons, tell them it’s his birthday—even if it’s not.

- Go on a scavenger hunt at a flea market. Make of list of the items to find and mark them of as you find them with a note about where they were.

- Make a scavenger hunt for your boyfriend with notes and clues leading him to you!

- Has ever talked about wanting to do something, but has never done it? Like trying the bungee jump or parachute drop at an amusement park? Sign both of you up, then do it.

- Take him to a museum centered around something he enjoys, like trains, music, art or natural history.

Things you do that you love should be included too, and he should know they make you happy. That makes them some of the best fun things do with your boyfriend.

Creative Boyfriend Gifts

Creative boyfriend gifts can cost very little. It’s the time you spend finding the right idea for your boyfriend and then creating the gift or planning everything out that counts. You can’t put a price on creative boyfriend gifts you make from the heart.

While that pair of tickets to the latest rock concert is probably a great gift,  it’s not always possible to spend that kind of money on a gift. But it’s always possible to do something nice and surprise your boyfriend with a meaningful gesture. Creative boyfriend gifts can really be as simple as a meaningful note.

A love note, a note of encouragement, or even a love letter written on feminine stationary and sprayed with your favorite perfume can be something that really makes his day special. You could even send it through the mail to make it extra special.

If you’d rather not wait, then let it stick out between the pages of his book or put it on top of the TV remote. Just be sure you leave where he’s certain to find it right away.

Some creative boyfriend gifts don’t cost much in anything but time. Bake him a batch of his favorite cookies and wrap them in a pretty ribbon. Make him a loaf of banana bread, or some cinnamon rolls, or whatever his favorite treat might be. You could even make his favorite dish and surprise him with an impromptu dinner.

His favorite meal along with a favorite dessert served by you, with candlelight, of course, is one of those great gifts everyone should love to receive. To make the evening extra special, buy a DVD he wants and wrap it up for you to watch after the meal.

For the movie lover, a movie-night basket is a great idea. Buy a couple DVDs you know he wants (or include a gift certificate for a movie rental) throw in a package or two of microwave popcorn or stovetop popcorn, a couple of boxes of movie-type candy, and a couple cans or bottles of soda pop.

You could also surprise him with a framed photo of the two of you together in a decorate frame. You can purchase blank frames in most craft or department stores. Decorate the frame in his favorite colors, or use your prettiest penmanship to write all around the edge about how special the moment was when you were photographed together.

A scrapbook of your couple pictures with notes like that after each picture is a great gift, too. Write about how much fun you had when the picture was taken, how wonderful he was that day, and anything else that you want to express.

Does he talk about learning to cook, paint, draw, swim or anything else?  Surprise him by paying for a lesson. Take a cooking or painting class together. Surprising him with a “how to draw” book and an assortment of drawing pencils. You’ll find the most creative boyfriend gifts are usually the most thoughtful.
